Celebrate Summer Solstice!
Summer solstice is an expansive time of year, evoking a landscape of abundance, passion, movement, and sustainability. When nature bursts full of life, colour and vitality. A time to celebrate all that you are.
In this workshop you’ll learn the basics of Sodarshan Chakra Kriya, a powerful meditation to boost the intuitive force within you. It’s considered the highest kriya and purifies the chakras using a blend of breathwork and mantra. It cuts through all darkness and will give you a new start.
Kundalini energy is the primordial spiral that dances your human life into existence. It’s analogous to growing a flower. Sodarshan Chakra Kriya invokes Shakti to give you the necessary vitality and intuition to overcome the negative effects of the subconscious mind, so you can truly blossom.
We’ll begin with movement exercises to free up the joints and energy channels to prep the body for meditation. I’ll guide you through Sodarshan Chakra Kriya with Whaa-Hay Guroo mantra with tips to hone your practice. Then journey into the healing vibrations of the Venus Gong to relax and restore.
The Venus Gong vibrates at the same frequency as the sixth chakra. It awakens your intuition, to shift out of the head and into the heart and experience your true Self, your natural home, your Sat Naam.
Wear loose comfortable clothing. Bring your own mat, bottle of water, a cushion/light blanket for comfort. All welcome. No previous experience necessary. Not suitable during pregnancy.
About the teacher: Carolyn McTaggart is an experienced Kundalini Yoga, meditation and gong teacher based in Glasgow. She offers a welcoming space to connect, move, learn, love and heal - to find peace and harmony in mind, body and soul.
