What’s in a name?
Names and terms and descriptors and identifiers are important. Language can give us community, it can bring us together and make us feel safe. Until it doesn’t. Until it becomes a way to separate us from them. Until it becomes a way to separate us from others like us.
“By Any Other Name” is an intergenerational performance project about LGBTQ+ identity – how it has grown and shifted over the years and how it has remained constant, from our own experience.
Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet?
