Preview night Thursday 8th August 6-8pm – all welcome
Exhibition runs 9th to 23rd August (Cass Art opening hours)
The Art of Imperfection is an exhibition by Scott Forrest. Embracing art later in life and without formal training, Scott’s practice has blossomed in just a few years, culminating in the prestigious Cass Art Prize at The Big Art Show, Paisley.
His abstract paintings explore the beauty of imperfection in nature and humanity. Drawing inspiration from colours, textures and forms found in nature, Scott works intuitively to create unique, energetic and expressive art. Scott’s experimental process is constantly evolving. Utilising buckets of paint, household mops and other unconventional tools, his approach reflects his belief in the potential for happy accidents and the beauty that arises from chance occurrences.
Come explore, challenge your perfect view and find magic in the unexpected.
