Are you looking for a way to feel more in control and prepared for the incredible journey of labor? Join us for a unique, free mini-retreat designed to help you relax and focus on yourself, your baby and the breathing techniques that can aid you not only in labour, but whenever you need to calm your body and mind.
Event Overview:
This intimate, 2-hour retreat is your chance to learn and practice key breathing techniques that can help you manage the intensity of contractions and maintain a sense of calm and focus during labor. Led by a certified antenatal and hypnobirthing teacher, this session offers a supportive space for you to connect with other expecting moms, explore relaxation methods, and gain valuable insights into how your breath can be your greatest ally during childbirth.
What to Expect:
Guided Relaxation: Begin with a calming guided relaxation to help you center your mind and connect with your breath.
Introduction to Breathwork: Learn about the role of breath in managing labor pain and stress, with simple techniques to help you stay in control during contractions.
Breathing Practice: Engage in a hands-on breathing practice, where you’ll learn how to ride the “waves” of contractions using focused breathwork.
Creative Affirmation Activity: Craft your own personalized birth affirmation card—something you can use as a source of strength and inspiration during labor.
Q&A and Discussion: Enjoy an open discussion where you can ask questions all about labour, birth, postpartum, or newborn care as well as share your thoughts with the group.
Meditative Closing: End the session with a brief, soothing meditation, leaving you refreshed and empowered.
Why Attend?
This retreat is perfect for first-time moms, those new to hypnobirthing, or anyone looking to enhance their birth experience with effective, natural techniques. It’s a wonderful introduction to the more comprehensive antenatal and hypnobirthing classes we offer, giving you a taste of how powerful and transformative these practices can be.
