Stop Motion Animation & Special Effects Workshop
This workshop at the Scottish Mask & Puppet Centre will be an introduction to stop-motion, during which you will create an animated film from start to finish.
About Stop Motion Animation & Special Effects Workshop
Stop Motion Animation & Special Effects for 8 to 15 year olds.
With stop motion, we take a photograph, move our subject a little (or a lot), then take another photo, and so on. The sequence of photographs creates the illusion of film and brings inanimate objects to life. You may want to animate paper cut outs, use plasticine or sand, every day objects or even yourself! We will also take a look at green screen and adding backdrops to your scene.
This course will be suitable for complete beginners or children who already have a little experience in film and animation. The workshop will run from 10-2pm. Please bring a packed lunch along.
Please note that adults won't be able to take part in the workshop and we request that drop off and pick up.
