SMPC operates a regular family Saturday Show programme between September - June accompanied by workshop and birthday party events. Schools, community groups and voluntary organisations visit on weekdays by appointment or the Centre provides outreach services to such groups. The Centre also offers two major touring exhibitions for hire to museums & galleries in the UK and Ireland - "The Magic of Masks & Puppets" and "Behind The Mask". Craft commissions and advisory and consultancy services are also provided to theatres, film, television and the creative industries.
SMPC’s children and family programme aims to introduce you to touring companies both national & international, which includes aspects of glove, rod, marionette, shadow, table-top and black light theatre. We also promote performances, using mask, mime, storytelling, music, magic and entertainment. We endeavour to give birthday mentions to all children if informed in advance.
Scottish Mask and Puppet Centre is pleased and honoured to present this retrospective exhibition of Teresa Latina's work, curated on behalf of her daughter Caterina and son-in-law William Goodfellow.
