This groundbreaking event series brings together some of the best names in Amapiano, showcasing the genre's vibrant energy across five major cities in the UK and Ireland.
The tour spotlights a top lineup of South African artists, including the dynamic duo Shakes and Les, known for their innovative Amapiano beats and impressive monthly listenership of over one million on Spotify. Joining them is DJY Biza, the "Piano Meditator" from Pretoria West, whose unique sound has earned him widespread recognition. Success, a rising young DJ and producer, adds to the lineup with her engaging style and rapidly growing reputation in the Amapiano scene.
Also gracing the stage are 031 Choppa, a versatile vocalist and producer with a significant following across South Africa, and a set from a powerhouse pairing of Ice Beats Slide & Sbuda Maleather, renowned for their live performances and studio synergy. Zee Nxumalo, TikTok star, Afropop, and Amapiano prodigy, completes the lineup, bringing her chart-topping hits and soulful melodies to the tour.
The Rap Academy UK Tour kicks off on September 14th at Vela in Dublin, a venue boasting a cocktail bar, Hennessy bar, and outdoor cabana area. The tour then moves to Slay in Glasgow on September 22nd, known for its energetic, young crowd. On September 27th, the show hits Birmingham's LAB11, an award-winning independent warehouse venue in the heart of Digbeth.
The final two shows take place in the UK's most vibrant hubs for nightlife, alongside a free panel in Manchester. On September 24th, the Future of Amapiano panel will be hosted at Factory International by Zeus Omega, an advertising strategist for DJ Uncle Waffles. Joining him are Rap Academy artists Shakes & Lee, Zee Nxumalo, and Djy Biza. The panel members will discuss the current state and future of Amapiano.
On September 28th, the tour continues in Manchester at Factory and concludes on September 29th at London's iconic E1, the acclaimed East London venue home to some of the best underground music from around the globe.
