About the Albert Drive Community Mural
Realised in partnership with our neighbours the Gurdwara and local community groups, Tramway will install a large-scale community mural on Albert Drive, opposite the venue.
Tramway has commissioned Glasgow-based mural artist Molly Hankinson to realise a co-authored, community mural which celebrates the diverse stories, histories and cultures of Pollokshields and reflects ideas of neighbourliness, unity and solidarity.
Funded through The Art Fund's ‘Respond and Reimagine’ grant, the new mural is part of Tramway's ongoing Tramway Beyond Walls strand. It follows on from a project to create joyful public spaces for communities, initially through the revitalisation of local green spaces on Lesley Street through a series of benches, planters and murals commissioned by Southside artists.
Supported by Creative Scotland and The Art Fund, ‘Respond and Reimagine’
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
