The Sound Lab Presents: Music Makes Glasgow
From humble beginnings in Tollcross the Sound Lab has gone on to provide free music education and creative mentoring to 1000's of young people across Glasgow. Working mostly with young people in the care system, refugees and asylum seekers, and young people with disabilities, they’ve now been making creative education more accessible for 25 years – because music matters!
Join them on the 12th of October as they celebrate this milestone with a day of live music and workshops. They've curated an brilliant line-up, with live music from Terra Kin (BBC Introducing Scottish Act of the Year 2023), Haiver, (the new project from Frightened Rabbit's Billy Kennedy) Eyve, Nicky Murray and more, plus DJ sets from Free Love, ButhoTheWarrior and Sound Lab DJs B2B (Steg G, Laurie Pitt, Paul Njie, Wheelman, KTAB, Novek and more).
They want you to get creative too, so there will be hands-on DJ, screen-printing and production workshops on the go, available for all ages, plus a charity auction raffle with some great prizes from the likes of Franz Ferdinand, Camera Obscura and others up for grabs.
