Since first forming in 2004 for the Orkney Folk Festival, the group has gone from strength to strength, spreading its unique “stomp” to festival tents and concert halls across the UK and Europe.
Collectively, The Chair’s sound bursts with the energy of a heavy rock gig - a rampant ruckus of fiddles, banjos, accordions and drums - yet remains acoustic at heart.
The band’s island compatriots, the fabulous fiddle-led FARA, join them on stage as riotous reinforcements. Expect an evening of fast, fun, and frenzied folk-rock as The Chair toast two decades together.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
