On The Green Festival is our micro festival of all the things we are so passionate about here at the Whistler, but don't have the space to do in our cosy we pub, so once a year we take it out door to our huge front garden, Glasgow Green.
Now in it's second year, On The Green Festival is a celebration of everything we love and do here at The Whistler all throughout the year - great music of all genres, amazing food from some of our best friends kitchens all in our beautiful Dear Green space where we can party with friends and neighbours. It's a chance for families of all ages to enjoy all of these things, right here in the heart of Glasgow.
This year we are taking things up a level with the introduction of a main stage big enough for live bands and dj's, local and from further afield, to get the party going.
Similar to last years fest, we will be theming each day with a particular genre of music and programing the best grass roots acts alongside some amazing international acts. Saturday will be everything Funk & Soul with an unbelievable well known Trunk of Funk arriving on our door step to blow your mind, then Sunday plays host to some of the best local Country acts with a star studded headliner to create lasting hoedown memories on Greendyke Street.
When it comes to food, we take things just as serious and we will reveal shortly what friends will be bringing their kitchens along to the Green to entertain your taste buds just as much as your ears.
On The Green Festival is for everyone. Mum, dad, friends and the kids. You can even bring your dog!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
