With carefully curated invitations, we will move from a warm-up into open spaces through to restorative resting practice to close.
Expect to work with themes of water, vibrations and porosity through guided practices inviting differing qualities of movement and listening with thematic soundscapes.
A joining of music and somatic movement in both directed and more open expansive interpretations.
Penny Chivas is a Glasgow-based dancer and choreographer originally from Ngunnawal Country, Australia. She has performed internationally with companies such as Scottish Opera and Theatre Cryptic with her work blending improvisation, ecopedagogy, and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Glasgow Soundbath is the name under which Iain Ross facilitates events weaving together his experience in improvised and experimental music, sound therapy, and healing to cultivate heightened flow states, alert presence, and deep relaxation.
Please wear comfortable clothes and water, and be prepared to wear socks or be barefoot (it's about keeping the space clean and enticing to lie down on the floor).
Space is accessed via two flights of stairs - to let us know about any access requirements please email penny.chivas@posteo.net
Our ticket pricing is based on the Green Bottle system, a sliding scale model that invites you to choose a price that reflects your financial situation. This approach helps make our events more accessible while ensuring artists and organisers are fairly supported.
