Join glass artist Catherine Lowe for this workshop where you will be shown the basics of working with fused glass and learn some of the basic skills needed to make your own designs!

About Introduction to Fused Glass Workshop

Explore the amazing world of fused glass and the you will learn some of the basic skills needed to make 2 coasters and a small plate, platter or bowl in this 3 hours workshop.

Explore the amazing world of fused glass and experiment with a variety of techniques and materials.

The workshop will include:
-The health and safety aspects of working with art glass
-An introduction to basic tools used in working with glass
-Basic glass-cutting techniques
-Using different types of glass – sheet, frits and stringers to create designs

All materials and kiln firings are included
Once complete your work is fired in a glass kiln one two or three times – depending on what you create.
Finished work can usually be picked up 7 days after attending the workshop – or by arrangement to post out (for a small additional cost)

Over 16s only
