Your behaviours don't define you... They are an indication of the relationship you have with yourself...
For too long I kept myself busy (all the time), ate on the run, had unhealthy relationships, over exercised, partied hard, over spent and got myself in to debt, stayed up late even though I had an early start every morning...
I was disconnected, I didn't respect myself, I was burying my emotions and keeping busy so I didn't need to feel or face up to my challenges...
People looking in thought I was strong & successful...
I was making myself sick... I hit burnout more than once and didn't learn my lessons.
It wasn't until I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition - crohn's disease that I started to review and assess my life. I started to change my behaviour, which changed my relationship with myself.
The healing journey isn't a straight line, there isn't a magic pill or fancy technique, it's small consistent steps.
This is what Emma Toms - The Confident Wellness Coach and I, Jen Wilson, The Healing Rebel are teaching at out workshop on Sunday 8th June 12-3pm, at The Soul Works Studio, Hope St, Glasgow.
We will help you create your own plan for your healing journey looking at the Six Pillars of Health
Sleep
Healthy eating
Healthy relationships
Mental wellbeing
Minimise harmful substances
Physical activity
And how to slow down to heal.
We would love to see you there to help you on your healing journey.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
