The Robert Burn's epic poem Tam o'Shanter is full of vivid imagery depicting witches, warlocks, storms, drinking in a cosy pub, ghosts in a haunted church, and the tail being pulled from a horse by the devil. In this workshop we will be illustrating some of the most vivid scenes and images from the poem to celebrate Burns Night!
-Listen to a recording of the poem and choose a scene to illustrate
-Design your image using collage or drawing
-Transfer your design onto your a lino block and learn to carve!
-Hand print your design and use letter stamps to write out the scene described
-Snacks and hot drinks provided!
No experience is necessary to join this workshop
