Whether you are new to yoga or an experienced student, we have a qualified teacher and a class that will meet your requirements.
An iYoga Glasgow class takes an holistic approach to yoga. We use precise physical postures (asanas) and breathing (pranayama) to balance body and mind. It’s a challenging, but not competitive, practice. We focus on the alignment of the body, while taking into account each practitioner’s needs. Yoga is beneficial for people of all ages, regardless of their physical condition. Practising yoga relaxes and energises. Iyengar provides an unshakeable foundation for physical and mental well being.
B.K.S Iyengar developed and practised Iyengar Yoga until his death at the age of 95 in Pune, India. Time Magazine listed him as one of the most influential 100 people in the world. Yoga is an ancient, tried and tested, system of personal development. Mr Iyengar’s system is based on the 1,700 year old teachings of the guru Patanjali.
Iyengar Yoga teachers go through vigorous training and examination. They uphold the high standards of BKS Iyengar, the founder of Iyengar Yoga.
