Turtle tots classes provide a really special bonding experience for mums and dads with their babies, and are also fun and sociable. We use songs and nursery rhymes to help create a relaxed atmosphere in which your baby can naturally develop a love of water and swimming. Turtle Tots baby classes form a progressive programme, so we teach something new every week and build on learnt skills every class.

Our progressive programme is underpinned by the latest research into babies’ brain development, child psychology and neuroscience. At Turtle Tots, we teach you to teach your baby to swim, at a pace that is right for them, in a gentle progressive way. Above all else our classes are a wonderful bonding experience leading to a lifelong love of the water.

All of our teachers are fully qualified with the STA and by the end of 2017 the full team will have gained their Diploma in Aquatic Teaching for Baby & PreSchool which is the new highest level of STA qualification.

Your Turtle Tots teachers are fantastic at understanding how your babies communicate in the pre-verbal period. Your baby is an instinctive learner, and will learn best by observation and imitation – put simply watching other humans and trying to copy them! Our amazing teachers will help you to demonstrate key life-saving water and swimming skills. It is then only a matter of time until they begin to imitate you!
