Popular city centre restaurants, Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow and Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh announce the global launch of its brand-new menu item – the Messi Burger – as the latest innovation in Hard Rock International’s ‘LIVE GREATNESS’ campaign in partnership with global football legend Lionel Messi. Starting today, this culinary delight, crafted by Messi himself, is now available for guests to order at Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow and Hard Rock Cafe Edinburgh.
As part of Hard Rock International’s ongoing partnership with Lionel Messi, the Glasgow and Edinburgh restaurants are proud to introduce a namesake burger inspired by the football legend himself, paying tribute to Messi’s ideal burger components.
The Messi Burger includes ten flavourful ingredients for a game-changing take on Hard Rock’s Legendary Steak Burger. As Hard Rock and Messi fans bite into the burger, they’ll taste a juicy double stack of the finest ground beef patties, seasoned, and seared to perfection. Tastebuds score big with the burger’s winning combination of toppings: provolone cheese, sliced chorizo, caramelised red onion, and Hard Rock’s signature, spicy, smoky sauce served on a toasted brioche bun with shredded romaine lettuce and vine-ripened tomato. If you want to get really MESSI, guests can top the burger with a fried egg available for a small fee!
Talking about the Global launch of the new burger, Jon Lucas, COO of Hard Rock International, “It is an honour to take our partnership with world-renowned football star, Lionel Messi, and the ‘LIVE GREATNESS’ campaign to the next level with his very own take on Hard Rock Cafe’s Legendary Steak Burger.”
“We are excited to welcome Hard Rock and Messi fans to our turf to try the burger inspired by Messi’s very own favourites for a unique and unforgettable experience.”
In celebration of this landmark event, Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow welcomed VIP guests to an exclusive event to celebrate the Global launch of the Messi Burger. Guests were one of the first to try the new addition to the menu which is available at all Hard Rock Cafe restaurants until May 2022. Guests enjoyed a night of eating, laughing and catching up with friends as well as an exclusive performance from TikTok star, Nathan Evans. Postman turned singer, Nathan has grown from strength to strength after going viral for his rendition of ‘Wellerman – Sea Shanty’ on TikTok, and the star had guests on their feet in Hard Rock Cafe Glasgow for the popular tune.
