Eastwood Park Theatre will offer up a whole host of live music, comedy, drama, family shows and cinema screenings to keep audiences entertained throughout autumn and winter.
Sold-out shows include Eddi Reader, who will celebrate her 40th year on stage with a '40 Years Live' concert tour, while Marti Pellow's Pellow Talk tour takes place at the Giffnock theatre with two sell-out November shows.
Comedian Dom Joly will present his only Scottish date of show Dom Joly's Holiday Snaps - Travel and Comedy in the Danger Zone Tour on 1 November. Best known as the creator of cult classic Trigger Happy TV, he talks about his exploits as a serial globe-trotter and seeker of dangerous travel spots.
Dom said: “Hello Scotland! Hello Glasgow! Guess what? I'm coming to Eastwood Park Theatre in November for my tour Dom Joly's Holiday Snaps in which I'll hopefully entertain you with tales of my travels around the world, getting into trouble in 106 countries. There's also going to be stuff from my TV shows so I think you'll enjoy it. So be there!”
Comedian Alun Cochrane, a familiar face on TV comedy shows including Mock the Week, Have I Got News for You, Never Mind the Buzzcocks and 8 out of 10 Cats, brings his Stuff and Nonsense show to Eastwood Park Theatre on 15 October. Award-winning travel writer and broadcaster Simon Park will present short films, audio clips and anecdotes as he talks about cycling 3,427 miles around 'Pandemic Britain' during 2020 and 2021 this October.
Meanwhile, rock and soul fans can dance the night away as Barry Steele and a fabulous cast of musicians and singers take you on the musical journey in the 85th Anniversary tour of the Roy Orbison and Traveling Wilbury's Story in September. Las Vegas Live with the Rat Pack tribute show comes to Eastwood Park Theatre direct from London's Leicester Square Theatre, the O2 and a Royal Command Performance on 1 October.
Cliff Richard: The Great 80 Tour which was filmed live at the Royal Albert Hall will be screened at Eastwood Park Theatre on 4 September. Scottish music fans can soak up some traditional tunes in October, with Back to Beo: The Shee in concert.
Live theatre offerings include a free performance of Downs With Love, which tells the story of a young girl called Beth who has Down's Syndrome. The play is supported by Creative Scotland Funding and comes to the theatre on 27 October. Comedy drama Two's Company, from the writer of the Ghosting of Rabbie Burns and co-writer of The Wedding Planners, is live on stage on 2 September, while Rapture Theatre returns to Eastwood Park Theatre with dark comedy thriller The Beauty Queen of Leenane on 22 September.
Screenings of NT Live performances with Much Ado About Nothing, Jack Absolute Flies Again and The Seagull will take to the big screen. The theatre will host Wilderland, the UK's first touring wildlife film festival in November, featuring groundbreaking independent films offering insight into some of the world's most incredible stories from our natural world.
Kids are in for a treat with The McDougalls in Toyland lined up for September, Matilda cinema screening and Artie's Singing Kettle in October, while the year will be rounded off in true panto style as Spillers Pantomime's The Wizard of Oz takes to the stage from 25 November - 31 December in a magical show for all the family.
