The exciting new addition to Silverburn aims to change the perception of kebabs in the UK, by serving high quality products in a fast casual setting.
The Scottish based business will dish up a new generation of street food in its latest 65-seater restaurant, which is located beside the Cineworld entrance. Visitors will be able to grab a free kebab on Saturday, 1st October between 12pm-4pm and get a taste of the flavourful and convenient food concept that will boost the shopping centre’s dining options.
Open for all day dining, take-away, delivery and click & collect, diners can enjoy authentic Berlin kebabs using freshly baked traditional Turkish Pida, with a choice of salads and home-made signature sauces. The menu offers a variety of German street-food favourites including Kebaps, Currywurst, Schnitzel, Fries, Milkshakes, Fritz Kola and Germany’s favourite beer, Bitburger Pilsner- all priced between £6- £9.
Döner Shack has found its niche in the market and gained incredible popularity by serving premium quality products and challenging the existing perception of a kebab. “We only serve ethically sourced ingredients to ensure there is something for every taste and diet. We are also one of the pioneers of vegan street-food in the UK, with a separate menu dedicated to delicious meat-free options. Our döner is 85% lean meat with no artificial fillers or excessive oils – this quality of döner isn’t available in the UK – and our chicken shawarma is made up of free range, gluten-free chicken thighs. We are proud to create products that are not only better quality, but taste incredible too,” said co-founder Sanjeev Sanghera.
Originally from Glasgow and Ayrshire, the co-founders of Döner Shack also own the incredibly popular and long-standing restaurant Döner Haus in Glasgow City Centre. “Glasgow will always be home to us and holds a special place in our hearts. Having opened multiple restaurants in England we are incredibly proud to be able to open Döner Shack’s Scottish debut here in Silverburn, which is our local shopping centre. We feel it is a perfect fit for our fresh and tasty brand,” said co-founder Laura Bruce.
David Pierotti, Silverburn General Manager said: “We are thrilled to welcome Döner Shack into the Silverburn family. Döner Shack provides a unique offering that further strengthens the diverse range of leisure and retail experiences we provide to our customers, and we can’t wait for the doors to officially open.”
Döner Shack is looking to recruit staff for its new restaurant, with crew member opportunities available. If you are interested in applying for a job, email your CV to jobs@donershack.uk.
