Within 24 hours of announcing the pre-sale for Meet Me in Milan it went straight to the top of the charts on Amazon, landing her a third best-seller before it lands on bookshelves, Kindles and audio formats on August 17th.
Sophie Grant, an NHS nurse from Glasgow, initially started a blog to share her real-life dating disasters. Little did she know that her romantic nightmares would pave the way for her success as a best-selling author.
Her debut novel, A Glasgow Kiss, published in December 2020 under the pen name Sophie Gravia, quickly became a word-of-mouth global sensation, reaching the number one spot on Amazon and surpassing the popularity of the Fifty Shades of Gray.
Following the tremendous success of her first book, Sophie released the second installment, What Happens in Dubai, in August 2022. Once again, it soared to the top of the Amazon book charts, solidifying Sophie Gravia's status as a best-selling author. With sales nearing 250,000 copies, her books have captivated readers around the world and have even been translated into foreign languages for Hungarian and Lebanese readers.
When asked about her unexpected success, Sophie, who resides in North Lanarkshire and is 31 years old, expressed her gratitude: “I’m so blown away by stealing the top spot in the Amazon book charts again. To think ‘Meet Me in Milan’ is currently a best seller and my readers haven’t even read it yet just blows my mind! I’m beyond grateful to everyone for their pre orders and shares! Roll on August 17th!”
Sophie's comedic writing, honesty, and wit have made her books a sensation among women aged 21 to 60. The relatability, Glaswegian humour and insight into the female mind have also garnered interest from TV production companies. Surprisingly, her books have also found a dedicated male readership. Men from various backgrounds have reached out to Sophie, sharing their enthusiasm after devouring her novels on their Kindle or enjoying the audio versions during their commute.
To celebrate the launch of Meet Me in Milan, Sophie will be hosting an exclusive launch party on Sunday, August 20th from 2-5.30pm at the Wunderbar Ballroom in Glasgow. The event will feature special guest Clyde 1's Amber Zoe and is proudly sponsored by Whitley Neill Gin. Attendees can look forward to live music, an interview with Sophie, a Q&A session, and a luxury goody bag. Tickets go on sale via Eventbrite on Friday 2nd June.
Meet Me in Milan is available for pre-order now on Amazon, allowing fans to secure their copy of this summer's sexiest book. Don't miss the chance to join Sophie Gravia's growing fanbase and experience the hilarious and tempestuous world of Zara, the beloved lead protagonist of this extraordinary trilogy.
