The eco-conscious shopping event will be taking place from 10am – 5pm on Saturday 7th October, offering thrifty shoppers an opportunity to snag one-of-a-kind fashion finds, along with an opportunity to meet local fashion influencer ThankFifi herself where she’ll be on hand providing styling tips and sharing fashion insights.
ThankFifi is a respected Glaswegian fashion influencer known for her impeccable style and her dedication to the fashion industry. The pre-loved pop-up will feature a handpicked selection of her gently worn and beloved clothing and accessories, all at affordable prices.
Conscious shoppers will be able to get their hands on a collection of high-quality designer gems, contemporary fashion trend-led pieces and one-of-a-kind items from some of the most coveted brands including Radley London, Mint Velvet, Ted Baker and LK Bennett.
20% of the proceeds from the one-day event will be donated to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, which will go towards ensuring every baby, child, and young person treated at Scotland’s largest children’s hospital receives the extra special care they need.
The pop-up will be situated on the ground floor at Buchanan Galleries, in front of the flower wall, adjacent to John Lewis & Partners.
Wendy H Gilmour said: “As an advocate of circular fashion, I am so delighted to be hosting this pre-loved pop-up in my Glasgow favourite, Buchanan Galleries. The pop-up provides an opportunity to connect with followers, give some much-loved pieces from my wardrobe a new lease of life and donate to a great cause.
“I have handpicked an edit of high street and high-end brands with a focus on accessories to ensure the event is as inclusive as possible.”
Kathy Murdoch, Centre Manager at Buchanan Galleries, said: “We’re thrilled to be collaborating with ThankFifi for this sustainable fashion initiative. The pre-loved pop-up event is not just about giving stylish pieces a second life, but also a chance to give back to our local community via a donation to Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity, a charity very close to our hearts.
“Make sure you mark your calendars for this coming Saturday and join us for a day of fabulous fashion finds, sustainable style inspiration and an opportunity to meet ThankFifi.”
In addition to the pre-loved shopping event, Buchanan Galleries offers several recycling initiatives designed to help visitors become more sustainably savvy shoppers and dispose of their empty and unwanted items properly, whilst reaping some great rewards and discounts in store. Retailers include John Lewis & Partners, Isle of Skyle Candle Company, Monki, Perfume Shop, Schuh, Superdrug and Boots.
