Welcome To Night Vale

About Welcome To Night Vale

One of the most downloaded fiction podcasts in the world, Welcome to Night Vale releases twice a month in the style of community updates for the small desert town of Night Vale, featuring local weather, news, announcements from the Sheriff's Secret Police, mysterious lights in the night sky, dark hooded figures with unknowable powers, and cultural events.

Named one of the "10 essential fiction podcasts that shaped the genre" by Vulture, Welcome to Night Vale was created by Joseph Fink and Jeffrey Cranor in 2012. Eleven years and more than 200 episodes later, the success of Welcome to Night Vale has crossed all platforms. A pioneer of live podcast touring, their previous live tours have performed more than 450 shows in 18 countries and 38 U.S. states. Fink and Cranor have written three bestselling novels based on the show titled Welcome to Night Vale, It Devours!, and The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives In Your Home and have published two script collections.

Joseph Fink (writer) is the creator of the Welcome to Night Vale and Alice Isn't Dead podcasts, and the New York Times bestselling author of Welcome to Night Vale, It Devours!, and The Faceless Old Woman Who Secretly Lives in Your Home (all written with Jeffrey Cranor), and Alice Isn’t Dead. He is also the author of the middle-grade novel, The Halloween Moon. He and his wife, Meg Bashwiner, have written the memoir The First Ten Years. They live together in the Hudson River Valley and Los Angeles.

Jeffrey Cranor (writer, Emcee) is a novelist and playwright. He co-created the Welcome to Night Vale and Within the Wires podcasts.

He has produced and composed scores for podcasts such as Welcome to Night Vale and Alice Isn't Dead, plays keyboards in folk trio RAQIA, created the experimental audiofiction series In A Walled City, and has released 12 solo albums of electro-acoustic music. He is very excited to be back on the road with Night Vale!

Cecil has been featured on podcasts such as Ask Me Another (NPR), Selected Shorts (PRI), Shipwreck, Big Data and Our Fair City.
