Acting 2

This weekly evening in-person class for people age 16+ is taught over three terms by lecturers associated with the BA Acting degree programme at the Conservatoire.

Acting 2

About Acting 2

The focus of the course is on developing students' voice, movement and acting skills through an advanced level exploration of contemporary approaches to character development, text analysis, rehearsal and staging.

Students will explore the acting and rehearsal techniques of a number of practitioners including Stanislavski, Brecht and Lecoq, deepening understanding of how to build well-rounded and authentic characters through the analysis of text and research.

Led by an experienced director, classes will be practical and focus on solo and partnered scene work. Discussion and feedback will also form a key part of your learning as you develop a wider vocabulary for talking about performance.
