About Raveloe
Glasgow-based singer-songwriter Kim Grant embarked on her new solo venture, Raveloe, at the end of 2019. The title takes its name from the novel Silas Marner, and the hometown of the main character who is a reclusive weaver. Grant says that – as a weaver of words and song, using the threads of past experience, observations and thoughts – she identifies with him.
In Raveloe, Grant pores her heart out and explores what it is to be alive through music. In hushed folk missives, she takes listeners on an atmospheric journey of transportive sound, praised by critics as being reminiscent of renowned talents including PJ Harvey, Adrianne Lenker and Shannon Lay.
