SCOTTISH PREMIERE
I’m walking down the street and there’s a door in the fence open and inside there are three women I’ve seen before.
Three friends meet for a chat in the garden. A neighbour is invited in and as darker secrets emerge, their afternoon is punctured by flashes of catastrophe.
‘Caryl Churchill’s magnificent play unleashes an intricate, elliptical, acutely female view of the apocalypse. Revolutionary.’ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Observer
Written by CARYL CHURCHILL
Directed by JOANNA BOWMAN
Set & Costume Design by ANNA ORTON
Lighting Design by COLIN GRENFELL
Sound Design by SUSAN BEAR
Running time: approx 50 minutes with no interval
THU 29 FEB & THU 7 MAR: Post-show responses from Tron Young Company
Tron Young Company will work with Joanna Bowman and Martin O’Connor to create companion pieces to Escaped Alone inspired by the theme of global and personal catastrophe.
SAT 2 MAR: BUILD WORKSHOP WITH JOANNA BOWMAN
