Light up your imagination at our FREE Winter Warmer Family Day.
Drop-in any time between 12noon and 3pm to enjoy a varied programme of festive activities. All activities are free and most are drop-in. You’ll find booking links below for sessions that need to be reserved in advance.
Our café, The Western, will be open for light refreshments. Plus, you can hear some fantastic festive music from the Byres Road Big Band.
Please note that children must be accompanied by adults at all times.

Drop-in activities
Drop-in any time between 12:00 and 15:00 to get stuck into a smorgasbord of activities to light up your imagination.
Activities will include the following, with full programme to follow:
• Take part in VR and XR demos with our Museums in the Metaverse and Transit research teams
• Print your own Christmas Card
• Paint your own face mask and learn Chinese paper-cutting techniques with the Peking Opera Society
• Explore the hidden world of the gut-brain connection with interactive activities that light up the world of bacteria
• Enjoy a taste of multicultural tea traditions
• Dive into a festive clothes drive led by the Glasgow University Environmental Sustainability Team
