Wendy's novel is a story of abuse, isolation, cruelty, and the fight for freedom, as she retells the story of a real 19th century divorce case with compassion and sensitivity.
Wendy and Louise will be discussing using real history in fiction, the modern resonances of historical cases like this one, the importance of compassion and honesty in fiction, and more, before Wendy signs copies of An Idle Woman.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
