About An Evening With K. X. Song, Eliza Chan and Andrea Stewart

Raised to obey. Destined to rebel.

The Poppy War meets Six Crimson Cranes in this gripping crossover fantasy, inspired by Mulan and Romance of the Three Kingdoms.

An awesome, engaging fantasy that takes a hard look at the cost of being true to yourself. Adventure, romance and dragons abound in this fantastic tale - Patricia Briggs, #1 New York Times bestselling author of the Mercy Thompson series.

K.X. Song is a diaspora writer with roots in Hong Kong and Shanghai. Raised between cultures and languages, she enjoys telling stories that touch on collective memory, translation, and the shifting nature of memory and history. She is the author ofAn Echo in the CityandThe Night Ends With Fire, her adult fantasy debut. She lives in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Eliza Chan is a Scottish-born Chinese-diaspora author who ‘writes about East Asian mythology, British folklore and reclaiming the dragon lady, but preferably all three at once’. Eliza's work has been published inThe Dark,Podcastle,Fantasy MagazineandThe Best of British Fantasy, and her non-fiction has appeared on Tor.com. She lives in the North of England with her partner and young child.Fathomfolkis her first novel.

Andrea Stewart is the Chinese American daughter of immigrants, and was raised in a number of places across the United States. When her (admittedly ambitious) dreams of becoming a dragon slayer didn't pan out, she instead turned to writing books. She now lives in sunny California.
