Welcome to the 4-Week Beginners' Wheel-Throwing Ceramics Class!
Date: Every Wednesday evening for 4 weeks, starting January 8th to January 29th, 2025
Dive into wheel throwing with this 4-week course designed for beginners! Guided by experienced instructor Ruth Hodgins, you'll learn the foundational skills of shaping clay on the wheel—from centring and forming to refining and trimming. Each week builds on the last, helping you create functional pieces like cups, bowls, or small pots. At the end of the course, we’ll glaze and fire your works, ready for you to take home.
This hands-on class offers a welcoming environment for experimentation, learning, and skill development. All materials and tools are provided—just bring your creativity!
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
