Evening course introduction to clay and making functional pieces using hand-building techniques. Suitable for beginners, you will be guided each step of the way and over the course of two weeks you will have made three pieces exploring slab building, coiling and pinch pots.
Your pieces will then dry in the studio until they're ready to be fired. At the end of this course you can choose a single glaze colour for the studio to apply to your pieces, ready for collection in approx 2 weeks. Alternatively, continue your learning with a glazing class if you'd like to return to paint your own pieces and learn about underglazes and layering multiple glazes for additional dimension. This is a great course for beginners to build confidence with clay and if you'd like to continue your new craft after the course, we offer membership to our open access studio.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
