Macdonald Resorts is seeing a marked increase in demand for its self-catering accommodation, as people opt for safe staycations within their family bubbles at some of the UK’s most remarkable destinations.
The latest research* highlighted that 41% of those planning a Scottish staycation were opting for self-catering accommodation due to the safety and independence it offers, and other parts of the UK are experiencing similar trends.
As well as providing safe accommodation, a break at a Macdonald Resorts also offers the opportunity to enjoy a holiday setting amongst beautiful scenery, with space to roam and enjoy the great outdoors.
Macdonald Resorts has five locations across the UK, offering a ‘home from home’ in some of the most picturesque locations, making the toughest decision which resort to visit. Guests can choose a staycation destination in resorts located at the tip of the Snowdonia National Park in Wales, on the edge of the New Forest, alongside Loch Lomond and the Trossachs and even the picturesque Cairngorms.

On-site restaurants are open* at Macdonald Forest Hills, Spey Valley and Elmers Court with takeaways available at Macdonald Lochanhully and Plas Talgarth Resorts.
Pools, spas and children’s play facilities will remain closed in line with Government advice with the exception of Macdonald Plas Talgarth Resort.
