Although during the current restrictions Mecca Bingo and other entertainment venues across Glasgow have had to close, members of the team are still hard at work behind closed doors to create Christmas food hampers for the local community.
The team at Mecca Bingo Glasgow Quay have just launched their local Christmas campaign which aims to provide 50 food hampers for families in need in the south side area of the city and they have linked up with a local food bank to make this happen.
Their doors are closed for normal bingo sessions at the moment but staff members will open up on both Mondays and Fridays from 11am -5pm should anyone wish to drop off and donate any items of non-perishable food towards the hampers. They will also be available to collect items and if this would be more convenient then call on 0141 418 0106 and someone will arrange a collection.
Elaine Pollard, Assistant Manager at Mecca Bingo said: “No one should go hungry especially at Christmas so if you can help with any donations the team at Mecca will be delighted to accept your items and add to them to create a range of great Christmas hampers.”
