The march which is the biggest in Scotland, will have speeches from leading politicians at 11:30am at Glasgow Green before making its way through the streets of the city centre in a colourful and vibrant display of love, equality and tolerance.
In 1969 members of New York's LGBT+ communities stood up against a brutal police raid in what became known as the Stonewall Riots and lead to the start of the campaign for LGBT+ equality, with the 1st ever Pride March been held in New York in 1970.
The full route of Glasgow's Pride March, which last year was the largest ever Pride held in Scotland, with over 21 thousand marchers is:
Glasgow Green on to Saltmarket, Clyde St, Broomielaw, Oswald St, Argyle St, Queen St, Ingram St, South Frederick St, George Sq. (s), St Vincent Place, St Vincent St, Hope St, West George St, Nelson Mandela Place, West George St, and finishing at George Square.
Chair of Glasgow's Pride, Dan Syme said: "I cant wait to welcome our communities to the heart of Glasgow next Saturday as we remember those that have campaigned for equality over the years and also face up to the current challenges of the rising hate crimes against people that are LGBT+
The city will be a sea of rainbow flags with thousands marching to support people who are LGBT+, with tens of thousands more watching from the pavements of the city centre as Glasgow becomes the city of love on the 15th with Glasgow's Pride"
A record 22 venues across Glasgow are holding pride events with a completely free Pride Hub held at Strathclyde University with over a 100 community stalls with partners such as THT, LGBT Youth, Leap Sports, the NHS and LGBT Health and Wellbeing playing leading rolls.
Headline acts for the free entertainment include the "Queen of Pride" Scottish singer and songwriter Horse McDonald, TikTok sensations - boy band Just the Brave and number 1 artist Mary Kiani.
Euan McLeod, the Executive Director of Pride added: "Glasgow has so much to be proud of, just last month in partnership with First Bus we announced that our city region would take the world record for the biggest Pride Bus fleet in the world with 6 double decker buses.
But with the doubling of attacks against our communities over the past decade we are asking Glaswegians to help support us -- come march with us next weekend as we would love to welcome you if your an LGBT+ ally"
A competition has also launched to encourage shops, offices and workplaces to fly the rainbow flag during the Glasgow fair weekend. Entry is by tagging a picture of the display that is created and tagging in "mardigla" across social media. The winning team will receive £500 for a night out on the town.
