The itison Pumpkin Fund – the community engagement arm of itison’s blockbuster Halloween event, GlasGLOW, is calling out for local charities and community groups to come forward and apply for funding support in advance of this year’s event, before the deadline at the end of September.
The itison Pumpkin Fund is pledging a minimum of ten £1,000 grants to support local kids' charities in and around Glasgow, and groups that help the environment.
Applications can be made by completing a simple form available on the GlasGLOW website: www.itison.com by the 29th of September.
Since it was launched, The itison Pumpkin Fund has raised £60,000 in total for good causes and donated 6,000 tickets to help those who might not be able to attend the event otherwise.
Last year alone, £15,000 was raised through the GlasGLOW Pumpkin Fund that was split equally between three great local charities: Love Milton, East Park and Hillhead Secondary.
Oli Norman, CEO of itison and founder of GlasGLOW said: “Thousands of families come to GlasGLOW each year and it’s always been important to us to be able to give back to good causes around the Botanics, especially those helping young children to improve their quality of life.”
Speaking on itison’s donation to the Love Milton project last year, Martina Johnston-Gray, said: “GlasGLOW has made a huge difference to Love Milton @the ARC. I can’t thank the itison team enough for their support, it’s a really easy process and everyone we spoke with were lovely. Thanks for really seeing an area that often gets forgotten about.”
In addition to supporting capital projects in the local area, The itison Pumpkin Fund also donates 1,000 free tickets every year to charities, community groups and good causes in the local area to help those who might otherwise be unable to attend GlasGLOW.
The itison Pumpkin Fund was established in 2019 to help good causes in and around the Botanic Gardens where GlasGLOW takes place. GlasGLOW returns to the city’s Botanic Gardens this October from the 27th Oct – 12th Nov with tickets available at www.glasglow.com
