The exciting event takes place on Sunday 10 March 2024 between 12.30pm and 5pm, and will see models deliver a sneak preview of Kiwi & Co’s new spring collection as they catwalk through the hotel’s impressive Grand Hall, while guests enjoy a delicious afternoon tea.
In addition, a market-stall pop-up will allow small businesses to showcase their products including craft potters, Linda Newman Ceramics; silversmith and jewellery designer NM47; Modern Love’s homeware and gift collection; and Menti Journal, selling its collection of journals and planners to embrace personal growth. Kiwi & Co will also be selling its ‘Lovers Season’ Collection and best-selling knits hot off the catwalk.
Bookings for the event are now open, costing just £29.95 per person and including an afternoon tea consisting of a mouth-watering array of delicate pastries, homemade cakes and scones with clotted cream and strawberry preserve, while sipping on a glass of crisp prosecco and tea or coffee.
In support of Kiwi & Co’s chosen charity, Kidney Research UK, which is close to the heart of founder Mel Lanigan following her own experience with them, part of the proceeds from the event will be donated to the charity.
There will be two sittings on the day: 12.30pm until 2.30pm and 3pm until 5pm with guests encouraged to book early due to limited availability.
This special Mother’s Day event is the first of its kind at Mar Hall Hotel following its new ownership under Dubai-based Dutco Group, announced in December last year, which will see a £15million investment package aimed at expanding and upgrading the property, to reposition it as one of Scotland’s best hotels and an international destination.
Joe Gallacher, General Manager at Mar Hall Hotel, Golf & Spa Resort, said: “We are thrilled to be celebrating Mother’s Day with a special event that demonstrates the changes being made at Mar Hall, as we breathe a new lease of life into the Resort.
“Working with small independent businesses underpins our commitment to supporting the local community as we reposition the hotel and bring it back to its former glory. We look forward to welcoming guests along to showcase our plans for the hotel and take them on this exciting journey with us.”
Bookings can be made via www.marhall.com or by calling 0141 812 9999, subject to availability.
In line with the Glasgow-based fashion-brand’s values, Kiwi & Co has put out a casting call to its followers as they look for people who love the brand to model their clothes.
Mel Lanigan, founder of Kiwi & Co, said: “We are so grateful to Mar Hall for their support both of Kiwi & Co and Kidney Research UK. We work closely with the charity to support their efforts and raise awareness of the impact kidney disease has on people’s lives, so for such a prestigious venue like Mar Hall to donate their time and host such an incredible event really means the world to us and is an incredible reminder of the power of community kindness.”
Those looking to apply to model on the day should contact Kiwi and Co on outreach@kiwiandco.co.uk before 22 February 2024.
