As well as a sample sale, customers can try on pieces from the brand-new Spring/Summer collection, designed with input by 5000 women.
The company was founded by Cally Russell, who famously turned down a chunk of investment from the dragons on BBC’s Dragon’s Den. Unfolded’s customers help design their limited-edition collections and they only start production once the customers start ordering. This means orders can take 4-6 weeks for delivery, but they are made without waste and worth the wait! With the savings created, Unfolded offer sustainable clothes at affordable prices, pay garment workers higher wages and fund children in India to learn to read and write.
Following on from success of previous pop-up events London, and Edinburgh - which attracted up to 1000 shoppers in one day - Unfolded is on a mission to do things differently and fix the broken fashion industry that is destroying the planet to make a better fashion industry. With 30% of all clothing produced globally never sold, 26 billion items of clothing last year alone were dumped in landfill with one garbage truck full of clothes being dumped in landfill every second across the world.
Cally Russell, co-founder, Unfolded, said: “We are super excited to be holding our first Unfolded pop-up in Glasgow, this weekend. Glasgow shoppers are well known for being stylish and I can't think of a more beautiful setting than the iconic Princes Square to showcase our latest collection of sustainable yet affordable clothes.”
Katie Moody, Centre Director, Princes Square, commented: “We are thrilled to be hosting Unfolded’s first Glasgow pop-up and sample sale. We love the ethos behind this Scottish sustainable brand and how they are changing the industry, making it less wasteful and better for the planet. Up until now, the brand has only been available to buy online, now everyone can view the collections in person this weekend in Princes Square.”
Sizes range from 6 and 24 and the new collection includes perfect printed pyjamas, their best-selling wide leg trousers, Lulu jumpsuits and a selection of their much-loved dresses. Open Saturday 24th 10-5pm and Sunday 25th February from 11am - 6pm, shoppers can enjoy up to 50% off, with prices starting from £10.
