Featuring twinkling lights and festive music, the ice rink is now open until the 5th of January, helping Silverburn guests glide into the Christmas spirit.
Located in the red car park, skaters seeking a n-ice time can book 45-minute sessions from 15:00-20:00 during the week and from 10:00-20:00 on weekends in the lead up to the big day and over the festive holidays.
Suzi Murray, British Figure Skating Championship qualifier and British Ice Skating ambassador was first to go for a spin on the ice and gave Silverburn’s rink her skate of approval.
Silverburn is also running various festive fundraising initiatives for Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity this festive season, including a pop-up kiosk which is open from today until Christmas Eve, raising vital funds for the charity’s young patients.
Santa Claus will also be making a return to Silverburn this year, meet and greet sessions will be held daily from Saturday 30th November until the 24th of December. Also spreading festive cheer throughout December, choirs will be performing in the main atrium. All donations to the meet and greet and choirs will also go to Glasgow Children's Hospital Charity.
This year Silverburn has been transformed into a winter wonderland thanks to their stunning new Christmas decorations scheme featuring a 9m tall Christmas tree, a giant golden stag, huge baubles and miles of twinkling lights.
Silverburn guests can also enjoy extended opening hours during the second half of December, with the destination open until 10pm on weekdays and 8pm on weekends.
