"WHEN THE CLOWN LAUGHS, YOU KNOW YOU'RE ALREADY DEAD
WHEN THE CLOWN LAUGHS, YOUR BODY SHAKES WITHOUT ITS HEAD"
When the Banks family moves into the old Stride House, they're thrilled to have finally found their dream home. But unbeknownst to them, Elliot - a young man whose face is carved with a hideous grin - has been living in the basement for the last fifteen years. He tells the family that he is the son of the family who lived in the house previously, but little do they know that Elliot’s father was a sadistic serial killer known as “The Clown.” But he’s dead…Isn’t he?
Soon Elliot falls in love with the family’s beautiful daughter, Susan and as the two of them grow closer, the murders start again. Has “The Clown” returned from the dead to exact bloody vengeance? Or is the killer someone much closer to home?
With their love blossoming, Susan and Elliot untangle the twisted web of secrets and lies that connect Elliot, the Clown, a twisted teenager called Erik, the town of Clearview, and the house itself.
Drawing inspiration from BEAUTY AND THE BEAST and classic slasher films like HALLOWEEN and FRIDAY THE 13TH, WHEN THE CLOWN LAUGHS is a heart-stopping tale of love, betrayal, and the struggle to find redemption in the face of darkness. With its gripping plot, vivid characters, and spine-tingling scares, this musical is sure to keep you entertained from beginning to end.
