About Niall McNamee
Niall McNamee is an Irish singer-songwriter and actor known for his thoughtful yet full-blooded songs and his charismatic live performances.
Describing himself as “a romantic football fan who writes songs”, Niall moved to London at 17. By day, he worked on building sites, and by night, he performed in pubs and venues across the city. He began his acting career in the West End as Romeo in ‘Romeo & Juliet’ before moving into film and TV.
After a sold-out headline tour, Niall was cast as the lead in the award-winning film ‘Love Without Walls’ in which he plays a struggling songwriter trying to navigate London’s harsh streets. The film’s soundtrack is entirely Niall’s original songs.
Since his breakthrough, Niall has supported the likes of Declan O’Rourke, David Keenan, Junior Brother, The Dubliners, The Wolfe Tones, and Louis Dunford, and has performed at the Isle of Wight and Cambridge Folk festivals.
